Colors show rules:
Classes:
Baby class 5-7 mos
Puppy class 7-9 mos
Junior class 9-15 mos
Intermediate class 15-24 mos
Open class 24 mos-6 yrs
Senior class 6 yrs-8 yrs
Veteran class 8 yrs -
Color classes:
harlequin- merle- fawn- brindle- black- mantle- piebald- blue
Participating dog must meet the age, required for the class on the day of the event.
The judge does not have to be an official proffessional judge for great danes.
Appointed judge can be long time breeder / enthusiast of the breed. As a
general requirement, the judge has to know the breed very well. If there is
more than 100 dogs participating in the show, there must be another judge.
Unofficial color show complies with FKK show rules with the following
exceptions:
- HP can also be awarded
other than puppies
- No certificates (CAC) are
awarded
- Every color is evaluated
as their own group
- There is only competition
class, that the dog will recieve the written evaluation and it should
include a reference to the quality of the color.
- The current FCI breed
standard is to be followed
- The Best BOS category is
also organized
- The Best Brace and
Progeny class is organized
Judging process:
The evaluation order of the colors can be determined by the show commitee.
The dogs compete
directly in the competition class.
Judge will evaluate every the dog in that class and after that, all dogs will
be called back in to the ring. Then the judge will place the dogs 1-4 and award
the HPs (honor prize) if so decides. Max
4 HP / class. All the dogs awarded HP will compete for the Best Male (BMC) or
Best Female of the color (BFC) title.All the best of the colors (BC) finally compete for the Best in Show (BIS)
title. If HP is awarded in every color there should be one of each color in the
BIS ring.
Puppies 5-7 mos and 7-9 mos :
Like all other classes and in the end all Best puppies of the
color (BPC) will compete the
title of BIS-puppy.
Veterans 8yrs -:
Like all other classes
and in the end all Best veterans of the color (BVC) will compete the title of BIS-veteran.
Brace competition:
The handler with two dogs. Dogs can be of the same or different gender. Evaluation criteria: Best quality
and homogeneity. Only dogs competing in some other class can compete in Brace competition. Both of the dogs
have to be same color.
Pairs are directly placed BIS-Brace 1-4.
Breeder class:
Four danes from the same
breeder from at least two different litters. Evaluation
criteria are the same as in normal show. All four has to be the same color. Best group from each
color awarded with HP will continue to BIS
ring where they are are placed 1-4.
Progeny class:
Breeding dog/bitch and at least 3 offsprings that can be from the same litter. Evaluation criteria are homogeneity and quality of the offsprings. Breeding dog does not have to compete any other class. Both breeding dog and the offsprings need to be same color. Best group from each color awarded with HP will continue to BIS ring where they are be placed 1-4.

You can register for the color exhibition with the color's own forms.
Register by filling out an excel form.If you report more than one dog, then six forms are copied to the table.NOTE! Remember the copy of the payment receipt attached to the registration.You will receive a receipt in your email when the notification is received.
9.8. 25 € / dog, second by the same owner, etc. 20 € / dog.
10.8. - 16.8. 35 € / dog NOTE! by email only.
Veterans in all periods 10 € / veteran.
Puppies in all periods 20 € / puppies.
